And the money keeps rolling out.
Collier County deputies Friday afternoon searched the area around an East Naples bank by foot, ATV, and helicopter after a man wearing an Orioles baseball cap and carrying a gun robbed a Fifth Third Bank on U.S. 41 East.
This is the fifth bank robbery in the county in two months, and came on the tail of an earlier armed bank robbery in Lee County Friday morning in which an AK-47 was brandished.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's office, a man entered the Fifth Third bank branch at 5101 U.S. 41 East. shortly before 3:30 p.m.
Surveillance footage released by the agency shows he had what appeared to be a white shirt over his head, beneath his cap.
He then displayed a gun to a teller and demanded money, according to the sheriff's office.
Further images show the man stuffing a white bag with stacks of bills while a teller has his hands in the air. The sheriff's office has not disclosed the amount taken or how the robber fled the scene.
More than two hours after the robbery deputies could still be seen patrolling the area around the two-story bank on foot.
An office building next door that houses an East Naples Fire District office is largely unoccupied, with “for rent” signs in most windows that overlook the west side of the bank.
Several people who work in the building said they didn't notice anything amiss until they walked outside and saw patrol cars and crime scene tape around the bank's perimeter.
Deputies said the robber was described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches with a thin to medium build. He was wearing blue jeans and a long-sleeve shirt.
