Another North Naples store robbed at gunpoint, second in 2 days

Authorities were seeking a gunman in a holdup of a North Naples store Saturday. It was the second robbery of a North Naples store in as many days.

Collier County sheriff’s deputies say a man dressed in all black robbed the GNC at 5014 Airport-Pulling Road shortly before 4 p.m. Witnesses said a man wearing a black shirt, black shorts and a black baseball cap entered the store, displayed a gun and demanded money.

He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described by the Sheriff’s Office as a Caucasian in his late 20s. Witnesses said he had facial stubble.

Friday, a man who robbed a Cold Stone Creamery in North Naples. At 4:14 p.m., a man entered the store at 5999 Pine Ridge Road, showed a gun and demanded money before leaving on foot, sheriff’s deputies said.

That robber was described as white or Hispanic with a mustache. He was wearing a long-sleeved, black shirt, a black ball cap, dark pants or shorts and a bandanna around his right leg.

Investigators are determining whether the same person is connected to both crimes.

"We are looking into that possibility," said Karie Partington, spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office.

She added that surveillance video from either robbery is not available at this time.
