Self-proclaimed 'strongest man in the world' pepper-sprayed outside nightclub MUGSHOT

After resisting law enforcement during a disorderly intoxication arrest outside of Vision Night Club, a Golden Gate man was pepper-sprayed by sheriff's deputies as he yelled out he was the “strongest man in the world.”

Cesar Frometa-Delgado, 23, of the 1900 block of 41st Street Southwest, Golden Gate, was arrested Saturday by Collier County deputies on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting law enforcement with violence.

According to reports, deputies were dispatched to the club, 11900 block of U.S. 41 N., in reference to a disturbance. When deputies arrived, they spoke to two bouncers who said Frometa-Delgado started an altercation with them as he was leaving the club.

Frometa-Delgado was asked several times to stop his disruptive behavior because it was causing onlookers to gather in the parking lot but he failed to comply, according to reports.

Deputies said they then attempted to arrest Frometa-Delgado but he began pulling away, hitting a deputy with his elbow, reports stated.

As deputies continued to make efforts to arrest him, he yelled “I’m the strongest man in the world,” according to reports.

Deputies said they were then able to get Frometa-Delgado into a headlock and asked him several times to stop resisting or they would have no other choice but to pepper spray him.

He continued to resist at which time deputies released two sprays into his facial area, according to reports. Frometa-Delgado then stopped resisting and was handcuffed.

During his arrest, Frometa-Delgado’s fiancé, Maricel Jaureguy, 23, became aggressive toward deputies and yelled at them to leave him alone.

Jaureguy, who lives at the 9400 block of Marino Circle, East Naples, was also arrested on a charge of obstruction of any officer.
