MARCO ISLAND — With international and local members in attendance, a packed Marco Marriott hall was packed with Kiwanis Club members celebrating this year's theme of "It's Time to Serve."
Kiwanis Club's mission is to help children in need globally two recent successful undertakings have been to combat neonatal tetanus and iodine deficiency both rampant in foreign countries. That's in addition to local projects like providing ball fields and community cleanups.
Before lunch the crowd sang a great rendition of God Bless America in voice and sign language and also recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
