— Despite rainy skies, the galleries and multiple artists involved in the Marco Art Walk at Esplanade all showed good attendance, the resident artists, talented live musicians, tasty appetizers... and sales.

Carolyn Burger sold a nice original oil depicting Tigertail Beach while other artists saw their work get close interest from strolling attendees.

Look for the event to grow and check in on Waterfront, Portside and Rightside galleries in the meantime.

The Artist's Colony at the Esplanade is open from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday - Friday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturdays.

The Last Wednesday Art Walk events are held from 5-8 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month. The Esplanade is located at 760 N. Collier Boulevard on Marco Island. Find more information at marcoislandartistcolony.com or esplanadeshoppes.com.
