MARCO ISLAND — From families to retired tail gating pros, a huge crowd built for the annual tree lighting on Marco.
Food, drink, live performances and more led up to the big moment. Well known Marco entertainer Jimmy Long shared the stage with lots of talented young kids from both the Marco Dance Academy and the Spotlight Dance Studio.
The crowd participated in sing a longs featuring Christmas standards and cheered loudly as the tree lit up for this festive annual event.

Remember when the town tree was decorated with starfish and sand dollars? That truly exemplified Christmas Island Style. I think today's tree looks like...well, just another Christmas tree.
