Naples City Improv - the best (and only) improv comic troupe in town - will celebrate their 100th show this Friday at the Norris Center in Naples.

In honor of their 100th show, we thought it would be fun to have them answer some questions in true Improv style. That means gloves off, anything goes!

Naples Daily News: So. You made it to 100 shows. That's 14 in dog years. You're a teenager! No. Really. That's a huge milestone. What does it feel like to get to 100 performances?

Naples City Improv: It feels amazing! We are so lucky and grateful to have the kind of support and fan base that makes our shows possible. Remember, each show is driven by audience suggestions.

NDN: Now, give that same answer as a haiku. Yep, seriously. Haiku.

NCI:

We feel amazing.

We are lucky and grateful.

Audience rock on!

NDN: What's the strangest thing that's ever happened at a Naples City Improv show?

NCI: We had an audience member come on stage to help with a game called Environments. Normally, audience members go with the flow and are shy. This guy took over the whole scene! There was no stopping him. Maybe he thought he would get paid by the word.

NDN: Drew Carey, Dr. Drew, Nancy Drew or Drew Barrymore? And why?

NCI: Drew Barrymore, hands down. I hear she makes a mean guacamole.

NDN: Who's the sexiest member of Naples City Improv? Who makes the girls (or boys) howl?

NCI: Craig Price's hair!

NDN: Complete this sentence: "Naples City Improv artistic director Jim Corsica walks into a bar:______"

NCI: Jim says "Ouch."

NDN: If you had to describe Naples City Improv as a particular dish at a restaurant, which dish would you be?

NCI: I would say we are very much like a "Long Island Ice Tea", a lot of bang for your buck.

NDN: Who's your dream audience guest for Naples City Improv?

NCI: Someone one with a contagious laugh.

NDN: Does the value of humor go up in a recession?

NCI: Absolutely! If laughter is the best medicine, we're giving away free prescriptions.

NDN: In rhyming couplets (or Yoda-speak if you prefer), give us four lines on why audiences should see a Naples City Improv performance.

NCI: How about a limerick?

Naples City has the best improv team.

Comedy that flows like a dream.

Your suggestions drive the show.

And before you know.

You'll be laughing till you bust a seam!

NDN: If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when Naples City Improv arrives at the Pearly Gates?

NCI: Come on in! You're on in five and the performance is sold out!
