NAPLES — A North Naples woman was arrested Monday on a charge of battery of a person 65-years-old or older after Collier deputies were told she had pushed her father to the ground, strangled him and hit him in the face multiple times, according to her arrest report.
Deputies were called to the home of Katalin E. Young, 41, at the 2600 block of Fountain View Circle, Naples, by a neighbor and found Young and her father arguing in the driveway, the report said.
“(Young’s father) had a large laceration on the left side of his face and he was bleeding all over his clothing,” according to the report.
When asked how he got the cut on his face, Young’s father told police, “my daughter did it she is out of control.” He was then taken to the hospital, according to the report.
Young said her father fell into a tree branch, accused him of biting her, and changed her story several times as she was telling it, according to the report.
An investigator arrived and Young’s son made a sworn statement indicating he saw his mother argue with his grandfather, push him to the ground, strangle him and hit him in the face. A neighbor said she saw Young striking her father in the face, according to the report.
“While in route to the jail, Kaitlin made several comments about harming her father when she gets out of jail,” the report said. “Kaitlin also stated she was going to remove his belongings from her home including his medication that keeps him alive and destroy them in the yard.”
