The public is invited to participate in the Island Country Club’s 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Feb. 27 in partnership with Island Parks and Recreation Foundation.
This year, the ICCCF has committed to donating half the proceeds from this event to the Island Parks and Recreation Foundation to help fund a new community center at Frank E. Mackle, Jr. Community Park.
You may select your own four-person team or the Island Club Pro Shop will select one for you. Each team will include a showcased student golfer from Collier County Public High Schools. The winning teams donate their cash winnings to the charities of their choice from a pre-selected list of local charities.
The day’s event will begin at 10 a.m., with fun skills competitive contests among the participants. A barbecue lunch follows with a five-person handicapped shotgun scramble start. Cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres/cash awards and raffle drawings follow at 5:30 p.m.
The all-inclusive cost for the event is $175 per player. For those not participating in the tournament and would like to attend end of day festivities, the cost is $40 per person.
For more information, call the Island Country Club at 393-6661 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., or send your check payable to the island country club charitable foundation, 500 Nassau Road, Marco Island.
