The Marco Island Foundation for the Arts hosted a fashion show on Tuesday at the Marco Island Yacht Club. During lunch, attendees enjoyed a performance by a local singer, Sabrina Williams. MIFA president and executive director Sandi Johnson introduced Howard Blankman, chairman of the city’s Arts Advisory Committee. Blankman spoke about Marco In Bloom and the Arts Afire program, to be held in March.
Marco Island Clothing Co. presented Marco-centric fashions, with a special male model, Vince Kiernan, who wore a selection from the store’s new menswear line. Stylists from Rick’s Island Salon did hair and makeup for the female models, Jean King, Elise, Delaney, Maria LaPalermo, Sue Holewinski, Pat Zymros and Carol Rosasco.
MIFA volunteers sold raffle tickets for donated items like artwork from local artists, and the Calusa Garden Club donated a gift basket for the occasion, which was also raffled off.
