Approximate location of coyote sighting
A coyote was spotted near Lake Park Elementary School on Thursday and the neighborhood association is advising residents to be cautious.
“Please keep pets on a short leash when walking them,” wrote association president Amy Saad, in a letter to Lake Park residents.
Saad, the wife of Naples city councilman Sam Saad, said a neighbor reported spotting a white coyote in an empty lot on 13th Avenue North and 13th Street North in Naples on Thursday afternoon.
There were two coyote sightings reported to the Naples Police Department in January. Both times a coyote was seen on 14th Avenue North.
There were no reports of an attack during either sighting.
