Sean Brosig
Teaches: Sixth grade math at North Naples Middle School in North Naples
Teaching experience: 10 years
What does the Golden Apple mean to you? “There are so many incredible teachers out there. To be chosen as one of the six, it’s unbelievable.”
Sean Brosig told his sixth grade math students that his apple didn’t excuse them from their responsibilities.
“Every single one of you has to do your homework now that I have this,” he said to his students as the bell rang.
Brosig, who compared winning the Golden Apple to winning the Stanley Cup, said he knew he wanted to be a teacher ever since he helped a fellow student with algebra when he was in ninth grade.
“It felt incredible,” he said.
Sarah Toussaint, 12, said Brosig is a nice teacher.
“He’s a good math teacher. He’s funny. He does handstands,” she said.
