— A Naples resort is reporting the theft of more than $1,200 worth of cigar inventory on Thursday, according to a Naples Police report.

Lynn Turco, manager of a gift shop at Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club on Gulf Shore Boulevard North, told police that a wooden humidor containing 120 Cohiba and Criollo cigars went missing from the shop between 9 and 11:30 a.m. on Thursday while she was working. The report said Turco noticed the merchandise was missing when she was stocking shelves.

The humidor was worth about $400 and the cigars were $10 each, according to the report.

Video surveillance shows the humidor went missing between 9:30 and 9:40 a.m., the police report said. However, the report does not indicate whether video surveillance recorded how it was lost.

Turco did say she saw a 70-year-old man bring a large green bag into the store, but could not give a detailed description of the man.
