Tony Marcellus Wilson Jr., 22, was charged with felony battery.

— A Lehigh Acres man was arrested Thursday after his girlfriend told Lee County deputies her neck was fractured while the pair had sex last month.

Tony Marcellus Wilson Jr., 22, who lists addresses as the 1200 block of Ecclus Street and the 1100 block of Navajo Avenue, was charged with felony battery.

On Jan. 24, Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies and rescue personnel were called to the Ecclus house and found the victim on the floor next to a bed in the master bedroom covered by a sheet.

She told deputies the couple was having sex when she fell off the bed, landed on her neck and could no longer move, according to the report.

Wilson confirmed the girlfriend’s account.

The girlfriend was taken by medical helicopter to Lee Memorial Hospital and spent several days in the intensive care unit.

On Feb. 7, deputies met with the girlfriend, who had been moved into a rehabilitation unit.

After she was injured, she told deputies she was concerned he would leave her to die, but convinced him she would lie and say she fell. She went along with the story until she was alone with deputies, according to the report.

She said the couple had been to a party in Hendry County and a man who Wilson had accused her of having an affair with also was there. Wilson wanted to leave, so the couple left.

On the way home, he yelled at her and she was afraid as he “had beat and strangled her just days prior. He had previously threatened to beat her with a tire iron and had made threats of killing her,” according to the report. He said she could no longer have male friends and made her discontinue her social networking page.

She did not notify law enforcement of those incidents, and had planned to leave him and return to North Carolina.

When the couple arrived home on Jan. 24, she showered and the two performed a sex act on the floor. She did not object to that, according to the report. She did, however, object to a different sex act, and when she continued to tell him to stop “Wilson got mad and with extreme force pushed her legs away in a manner of dismissing her,” according to the report. She fell onto the floor and “immediately felt something was wrong with her neck.”

Because of her injuries, she could only sign her name with an “X,” according to the report.
