NAPLES — All 14 suspects in an alleged insurance fraud ring in Collier County have now been arrested and charged, according to a Collier County Sheriff’s Office report.
Miguel Alberto Rodriguez, 44, of the 100 block of Golden Gate Boulevard in Golden Gate Estates, was arrested in Miami-Dade County on Sunday on a warrant charging him with scheming to defraud and patient brokering, according to the report.
Rodriguez was the 14th and final suspect to be arrested in connection with the investigation labeled “Operation Back Breaker.”
Detectives say the suspects worked for or with four Collier chiropractic clinics to stage minor auto accidents and then receive insurance reimbursement for treatments neither needed nor provided.
Thirteen other suspects connected with the investigation were arrested last week.
