ST. PETERSBURG — An alternate juror in the Casey Anthony murder trial says he's shocked by the outrage over the not guilty verdict.
Russell Huekler spoke with ABC's "Good Morning America" on Wednesday from his St. Petersburg home. The 12 jurors who acquitted Anthony on Tuesday have declined to speak about the case.
Huekler said prosecutors didn't show that Anthony's 2-year-old daughter Caylee was murdered.
Huekler said "there was a horrific accident that happened, that was covered up."
He thought Anthony was a good mother because prosecution witnesses said the Orlando woman had a loving relationship with Caylee. Anthony's wild partying before Caylee was reported missing bothered him, but Huekler said that just showed how dysfunctional her family was.
Huekler said Anthony "definitely has some issues that she needs to address professionally."
