A 30-year-old South Fort Myers man is accused of raping a girl younger than 12 years old on two different occasions while her mother was at church.
Isaias Urbina Machado, of the 3700 block of Broadway, Fort Myers, remained Wednesday in Lee County Jail pending posting of a total of $100,000 bond on two counts of capital sexual battery on a child younger than 12. He was booked into jail July 1, but details of the warrant for his arrest were not available until today.
According to the warrant:
On April 6 deputies were notified of a sex crime that had occurred in Lehigh Acres between August and February.
The girl decided earlier that day she needed to tell her mother about the abuse “because she could no longer cope with it.”
When the girl returned home from school, her mother noticed she was acting unusual and asked if something was wrong. The girl revealed that about a year before when they lived in Lehigh Acres she had been raped twice by Machado.
The first time she was to go to church with her mother, but Machado became angry and demanded the girl stay home.
She went into her bedroom and Machado followed. She was told her to take off her clothes, she began to cry and told him “No.”
“The victim was fearful of the suspect because of the way he treated her mother, so she did as she was directed,” the investigator wrote in the warrant.
According to the report, she was then raped and told by Machado that if she said anything her mother would be harmed.
The second incident occurred when her mother went to church, and the girl stayed home because she was not feeling well. She was in her mother’s bedroom when the suspect came in. He again told her to undress, but she said she was going to call police. He told her to “shut up,” removed her clothes and raped her again.
He once again threatened to harm her or her mother if she told.
