Tropical wave over Bahamas will bring rain to Southwest Florida this week

A tropical wave, an area of rain and thunderstorms moving east to west in the tropical regions of the Atlantic basin, is being tracked off Florida’s east coast.

Computer models are in pretty close agreement that the tropical wave located over the Bahamas will give Southwest Florida an increase in rain on Thursday and Friday.

After the expected up-tick in rain showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday, the area should return to a typical pattern of afternoon storms and hot afternoon temperatures for the weekend ahead.
