NAPLES — A 25-year-old woman arrested on drug charges had tried to dispose of crack cocaine in the back of a patrol car which spilled out on the patrol car seat.
Laleh Lenita Rayga, of the 300 block of Leawood Circle, East Naples, was arrested Wednesday for possession of cocaine and marijuana and driving with a suspended license, according to reports
At the Collier County Jail Center, $811 in cash, two baggies of drugs and a pill bottle cap were found in her bra and underwear, reports said.
Late Wednesday, Collier deputies were dispatched to the Timber Lakes subdivision in East Naples on a tip that people were doing drugs in one of the apartments. Rayga was sitting in the passenger seat of a green Jeep in the parking lot. She denied knowing about any suspicious activity and she was told not to drive because a dispatch report showed her license had been suspended, according to reports. The deputy went to the door of the apartment identified where drugs were being used but no arrests were made. Later when he was sitting in his patrol car, he saw the Rayga drive by in the Jeep, according to the report. He stopped her and arrested her near King’s Way and Radio Road, the report said.
After she was handcuffed and placed in the rear of the patrol car, the deputy could hear the sound of a plastic object being moved in the backseat, according to reports. After getting to the jail and Rayga being removed from the rear of the patrol car, white powder was found on the seat, the reports said. She was searched inside the jail where the cash was found in her bra and a baggie each of marijuana and crack cocaine was found in her underwear, along with a plastic bottle cap, according to the report.
