TALLAHASSEE — Gov. Rick Scott hasn't been the most popular guy in Florida since taking office, but the novice politician may be turning over a new leaf after his first seven months on the job.
Call it Scott version 2.0?
He has shuffled his staff, moving Chief of Staff Mike Prendergast to the Department of Veterans Affairs and bringing in consummate Tallahassee insider Steve MacNamara to run his office. He has also given more media interviews and backed down from a few measures that spurred public outrage, even though he previously vowed to make decisions whether they were popular or not.
