Woman killed in accident on Pine Ridge Road near Collier Boulevard

Fatal crash on Pine Ridge

A woman died Tuesday after the Dodge SUV she was driving crossed a grassy median along Pine Ridge Road and hit a Collier County Parks and Recreation work truck.

The name has not yet been released by Florida Highway Patrol.

"She drove over into the median, brought it back into the road and then crossed over it again," said FHP Sergeant Owen Keen. "She didn't brake at all."

Owen said three Collier County workers suffered minor injuries.

The Dodge was traveling west on Pine Ridge just east of County Road 951.
