NAPLES — A North Naples woman is accused of hiding drugs in her private area after she was caught looking into and attempting to open car doors in an apartment complex parking lot, Collier County sheriff’s deputies say.
Christine Lynn Arnsteen, 24, of the 700 block of 93rd Avenue North, was arrested Monday by at Northgate Club Apartment’s parking lot at the 4300 block of Atoll Court.
The property manager of the apartment complex called deputies stating that a female was looking into vehicles and opening car door handles, according to reports.
Deputies said when they arrived Arnsteen started to run in the opposite direction, but stopped when they ordered her to.
According to reports, Arnsteen’s boyfriend was found with her in the parking lot. He told deputies his mother lived at the apartment complex and they had spent the night at her residence.
He also told deputies that he did not know why Arnsteen had been looking into the car window.
She was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of loitering or prowling.
Deputies said they found 12½ Xanax pills and two Darvocet pills inside her purse.
According to reports, female deputies stripped searched Arnsteen at the jail and found a small plastic pill container with 27 Xanax pills hidden inside her private areas.
Arnsteen faces felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and of a synthetic controlled substance. She also faces a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia possession.
