Julia Lynn Vanhouten, 19, of the 3700 block of Tomlinson Street, Bonita Springs, and Kerstan Trinere Harman, 18, of 19000 block of Ocala Road, Ft. Myers, were arrested Monday night in San Carlos Park at Egret Road and Mantanzas Boulevard.
According to Lee County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A verbal confrontation took place when the staff of Circle K, located at 19373 South U.S. 41, Ft. Myers, confronted Harman for placing beef jerky into her pants.
Vanhouten and Harmen were arrested after fleeing the scene and eluding deputies in a 2008 Dodge Charger.
As Harman exited the car deputies found a oxycodone pill where she had been sitting.
While she was in the rear of the cop car, she continually arched her pelvis and was reaching into her underwear. When they arrived to the jail she was escorted out of the car and deputies found three syringes and white lace on the seat.
A pat down conducted on Harman revealed several needle caps and a straw on her as well.
The driver, Vanhouten, faces a charge of fleeing and eluding law enforcement officers.
Harman faces charges of drug possession and paraphernalia, smuggling of contraband into a detention facility, criminal mischief, resisting a law enforcement officer and petit theft.
Deputies seized Vanhouten’s Charger for possible forfeiture proceedings.
