Postal Service to give eBay tips
The U.S. Postal Service is offering community outreach programs in August for individuals who sell — or would like to sell — products on eBay. Four programs will include the basics for buying and selling on eBay, setting up PayPal accounts, and how shipping by USPS is made simple.
The program will also explain the ease of using the U.S. Postal Service for shipping product to buyers.
There is no charge to attend and no reservations are required. The dates, times and locations of the programs are as follows:
10:45 to 11:45 a.m., Aug. 17, Bonita Springs Public Library, 26876 Pine Ave., Bonita Springs
2 to 3 p.m., Aug. 17, Naples High School Media Center, 1100 Golden Eagle Circle, Naples
10 to 11:30 a.m., Aug. 25, Lakes Regional Library, 15290 Bass Road, Fort Myers.
10 to 11:30 a.m., Aug. 26, North Fort Myers Public Library, 2011 U.S. 41 N., North Fort Myers
1 to 2:30 p.m., Aug. 26, Cape Coral Public Library, 921 SW 39th Terrace, Cape Coral
The programs will also include information about Half.com, an eBay company that purchases and sells books, games, movies and music online. It has added the USPS shipping platform to its website, where sellers can print labels faster with pre-populated shipping info, instant PayPal payment, USPS tracking and package pickup.

Boosting dryer duct
A new device, Dryer Duct Booster, claims to enhance the level of safety and performance of clothes dryers. It’s available from Tjernlund Products, Inc. of White Bear Lake, Minn. The unique booster fan offers a five-year no-clog guarantee and the potential of reducing clothes drying time up to 50 percent.
Dryer ducting that is beyond the specified length for the dryer is typically a lint collector. Besides increasing drying times and wasting energy, lint is a major cause of house fires.
Tjernlund’s Dryer Duct Booster, which increases air velocity within the vent system when the dryer is running, features include a Lint Blitzer blower wheel that repels lint and is the heart of the five-year no-clog guarantee.
The Duct Booster fan provides optimum air velocity in duct lengths up to 100 equivalent feet. Optimum air velocity removes moisture more efficiently, which reduces drying time.
Complete Dryer Duct Booster information, including installation, performance and dimensions, is available at www.tjernlund.com/retail or by calling (800) 255-4208.
