An East Naples man is accused of pawning several pieces of stolen jewelry with a total of more than $15,000.
Thirty-two-year-old Brandon Lee Zelmanski, of the 200 block of Bay Meadows Drive, was arrested Wednesday by Marco officers.
The victims told officers that more than $15,000 worth of jewelry had been stolen from their residence sometime during a nine day period in July.
Investigation at the scene did not reveal any forced entry to the home and the homeowners stated that all windows and doors were locked prior to them leaving town, according to reports.
Deputies said they conducted a routine pawn records check and discovered that Zelmanski had pawned numerous items of women’s jewelry at two different locations during the time the victims were out of town.
One of the victims cried as she identified one of the stolen rings that belonged to her deceased grandmother, according to reports.
Zelmanski was arrested on felony charges of grand theft and burglary-unoccupied dwelling.
