Immokalee graduates remember student killed in car crash

Graduation 2011: Immokalee High School

Immokalee High students shared a somber moment during their celebration at Harborside Event Center in Fort Myers. A student-produced video montage, played before diplomas were handed out, concluded with a photo of Michael Jon Perez and the message “in loving memory.” The 17-year-old, who would have graduated Friday, died in a car crash earlier in the week.
