LEHIGH ACRES — A Lehigh Acres couple told deputies that three masked men and a woman barged into their house, pistol-whipped the man and sexually battered the wife before leaving with electronics and cash late Tuesday.
According to a Lee County Sheriff’s Office report:
The couple said the incident occurred about 11 p.m. when the people armed with a gun and a knife came into the house through a door leading into the garage. The suspects ransacked the house, removing a television, Xbox game, cells phones and cash.
During the incident, the husband was pistol-whipped and put into a separate room while the wife was sexually assaulted. The suspects left through the garage door and fled south from the house.
The couple was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment. The husband had a heavily bleeding head wound; the wife a bloody mouth and lip and cuts to her face.
The suspects, all black, wore black clothes and ski masks.
Deputies did not release the address of the incident nor the couple’s names because of the nature of the crime against the wife.
