Never mind Armani ties and Old Spice shaving lotions, this Father’s Day why not honor dear old dad by treating him to a scrumptious Sunday feast served up by several of our favorite Marco Island restaurants.
Casa Maria Italian Steakhouse owner Maria Brock emailed the Eagle a spicy announcement offering a Father’s Day Barbecue served 4 to 9 p.m. with barbecued ribs and chicken and all the fixins’ for $19, including salad, bread, baked potato, baked beans and an ear of corn. In addition, Casa Mia is also offering 15 percent off any regular menu entrée for all the dads as well as a free glass of house wine or domestic beer. P.S. happy hour prices prevail 4 to 7 p.m.

House of Mozart Restaurant will be open Father’s Day, 4 to 10 p.m., serving a special dinner menu including a house salad and garlic bread. All fathers will also receive a complimentary dessert. Appetizer, two Mozart’s style potato pancakes served with applesauce, $7.95; Entrees include rack of milk-fed Colorado lamb aged in a special fine herb marinade and served on a rosemary-burgundy gravy $33.95; sushi-grade yellow fin tuna steak grilled to medium rare $23.95; filet of red snapper Provencal $25.95; or honey glazed duck breast $23.95. All served with appropriate accompaniments.

Cathy O’Clarke’s will treat dads like family with a Father’s Day special menu served 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. featuring three complete dinners each $15: Baby back ribs; rib eye steak or lobster tail special. Each entrée includes choice of vegetable, house salad with rolls and butter. The regular menu will also be available and each dad will receive a complimentary draft beer. Tara Steak & Lobster House at the Esplanade offers waterside dining with dazzling views overlooking Smokehouse Bay and an equally exciting Wine Spectator award-winning wine selections to toast dad while dining on these Father’s Day specials served in both the dining room and patio from 5 p.m. until closing: Bone-in rib eye steak $18 (half-off regular $36 menu price); or whole 1 ½ pound lobster specially priced $24; both served with rolls and butter. Tara’s regular a la carte menus, including meat and seafood selections, appetizers or sides will also be available as well as the tapas menu. Happy Hour in the Lounge, 4:30 to 8 p.m., offers the regularly priced tapas menu in addition to half price well drinks or house wine or Martinis.

The Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort’s Tropiks Restaurant presents a Father’s Day Prime Rib Buffet Sunday served 5 to 9 p.m. Price: $22.95 per adult; $10.95 for children 5 to 12 years; $4.95 4 years and under. The Father’s Day buffet features carved prime rib station; soup and salad bar; peel and eat shrimp display with appropriate condiments; baked potato bar with savory go-alongs; chafing dish stations offer house smoked brisket, cornmeal crusted catfish, or honey barbecue glazed chicken. The dessert bar offers assorted pies and French pastries.
