FORT MYERS — Women's clothing company Chico's FAS Inc. said Thursday that it has named Pamela Knous, a longtime supermarket executive, as chief financial officer, chief accounting officer and executive vice president.
Knous takes over the principal finance, accounting, investor relations and strategic planning responsibilities of Kent Kleeberger, who was named executive vice president and chief operating officer in March.
Knous served as grocer Supervalu Inc.'s executive vice president and CFO from September 1997 to July 2010. She previously served as executive vice president, CFO and treasurer for The Vons Companies Inc., which is now part of Safeway Inc.
Knous, 57, will report to Chico's President and CEO David Dyer.
Chico's, which operates White House Black Market, Soma Intimates and its namesake stores, runs 1,206 stores in 48 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
Shares of the Fort Myers, Fla., company gained 10 cents to $14.70 in morning trading.
