An East Naples man is accused of robbing a taxi driver while an unidentified male held the victim at knife-point.
Robert Winchester, 23, of the 700 block of Plantation, was arrested on Thursday on an armed robbery charge that Collier deputies say occurred in February.
Deputies say that Winchester called a taxi service that night to take him from a Naples motel to a Wal-Mart.
Winchester and another unidentified male requested the taxi driver to take them behind the motel. The unidentified male reached from the back seat and wrapped his arm around the victim, holding a knife to his throat.
Winchester then reached into the victim's pocket and removed $445 and a blackberry cellphone. The unidentified male ripped the victim's gold necklace off of his neck.
Both men fled the scene on foot.
Deputies located off Winchester Wednesday night at a Texaco station. He was arrested just after midnight.
Reports did not state whether the other suspect was arrested.
