Joey’s Pizza had a chance to tie Cocomo’s for first place, but lost in City Men’s Softball League action.
Cocomo’s lost the second half of a double header, giving Joey’s an opportunity go into a first place tie, but Joey’s got crunched by Sand Bar, 20-5, leaving them in second place.

Cocomo’s, 21, Eli’s Contracting, 14
In a rescheduled game, Cocomo’s defeated Eli’s contracting, 21-14. Tied after two innings, Cocomo’s broke the game open with a big seven-run third inning.
DaVinci’s, 17, Cocomo’s, 16
Cocomo’s picked up where it left off after its their first game with 10 runs in the first and added four in the second, then ran out of gas as Davinci’s had its own 10-run fifth inning. With the game tied in the sixth, Scott McConnell’s single sent home Mike Radlovacki for the win.
Marco Island Brewery, 22, Islander Pool, 4
The Brew’s bats stayed hot, led by Marco Magdalener, Tim Sunyon and Chris Bowden with four hits each and Andrew Border’s three hits, including a home run.
Sand Bar 20, Joey’s, 5
Sand Bar could do no wrong, while Joey’s struggled at the plate and in the field. Sand Bar hammered out four home runs in the game. JP Nachef and Paul Thomassen each had five hits, Lee Vanderjagt and Brian Kocak each had four hits and Bobby Natale added two hits with a home run.
Nacho Mama’s, 14, Eli’s Contracting, 2
No further information was available.
