"Can 'Two and a Half Men' continue without Charlie Sheen?"
That's the question we posed in an online poll after Charlie Sheen was fired Monday from "Two and a Half Men" by Warner Bros. Television following the hard-living actor's bouts of wild partying and a bitter media campaign against his studio bosses. No decision has been made on the show's future without its star, but it is clear from our poll results that "Men" does not have a future without its lead character.
Can "One and a Half Men" make it, or can another actor such as Jerry O'Connell fill Charlie Parker's shoes?
The majority (47 percent) of respondents to our latest online poll chose "No way. One and a Half Men?" Of course, that was followed closely by "Who cares?" (23 percent).
Another 19 percent thought the show can go on, picking "Sure. They can get someone else to play Charlie Harper." The bottom 8 percent were unsure about the show's future, choosing "Maybe. We'll see."
In another poll on naplesnews.com, about four fifths of respondents were not surprised that Sheen was fired. The news caught only 20 percent by surprise.
What do you think about the future of "Men"?
