FORT MYERS — Local filmmakers and movie enthusiasts mingled among internationally recognized film industry professionals at Wednesday evening’s opening gala for the Fort Myers Film Festival. Attendees enjoyed a walk down the red carpet, a glitzy reception, photos in front of a step and repeat board, and the screening of two critically acclaimed films, A Swedish Midsummer Sex Comedy, and Meth.

The festival, which continues through the weekend, will showcase two-dozen local films, and numerous international films. A complete list of movies and show times is available at the Fort Myers Film Festival www.fortmyersfilmfestival.com.
