NAPLES — The ten pins will be falling this summer.
Rolling into Naples on Sunday at the Bowland Beacon Bowling Center on US 41 was the 2011 Kids Bowl Free Bus. This bus which has been on a national tour, is to let everyone know that kids under the age of fifteen will have the opportunity to bowl two games free for every day of the summer until August 31.
The program is a national campaign designed to introduce kids to bowling and give back to the communities where these businesses are located.
Collier County’s Mr. Pat Ciniello is the owner of several centers in the Southwest Florida area. This makes the forth year of the program and Southwest Florida sites have participated each year, there are nine in all. The bus will be making the return trip back to Atlanta after today’s visit.
Marketing Specialist, Darin Spindler who has made the tour with the bus, says that the tour began in Atlanta Georgia on April tenth. On the thirty seven day romp they have been to forty plus states and logged over sixteen thousand miles on the road. The program last year served over two hundred thousand kids and this year is anticipating two million.
In 2010 the Bowland center had eighteen thousand five hundred children registered in the program, and gave away ninety one thousand free games. The program is designed also to give kids what they need most during the summers, time with family and friends, exercise, and an economical resource for familys making it through what are not the best of times.
