— A Bonita Springs man was arrested late Wednesday after a Lee deputy says he was driving drunk with two young children in his truck and caused a crash.

Bradley Milard Hurd, 39, of the 3600 block of Quails Walk, was charged with drunken driving, property damage and two counts of driving while intoxicated with children under the age of 18 in the vehicle.

According to a Lee County Sheriff’s Office report:

Just after 9 p.m. a Collier County sheriff’s Office deputy was on patrol near the Lee/Collier County lines when he heard a crash. He found the crash at Meadow Lark Lane and Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs.

Hurd was driving a 2007 GMC Sierra truck which was pulling a boat trailer east on Bonita Beach Road. He entered the turn lane and the trailer was struck by a Mazda traveling west on Bonita Beach Road.

Inside Hurd’s truck were three children, ages 3, 15 and 18. At least one child was in a child restraint.

No injuries were reported and Hurd declined to complete any field sobriety tests or a breath test.
