— With help from corporate benefactors like Target and citizens organizations like the Police Unity Tour, the Collier County Sheffiff's Office 5K Fun Run at Golden Gate Community center was a huge success.

The public got to see virtually every aspect and department of the local Police Department along with the equipment and personnel that make it all work. Collier County is one of Florida's safest areas.

A helicopter, K9 unit, bomb squad, volunteer fire safety team and more were joined by the ROTC squads from Golden Gate & Lely high schools along with participants in the Police Unity Tour organization to make for an informative evening marked by education, public participation and a casual good time.
