An East Naples man was arrested Saturday after sheriff's deputies say they found him trying to drive drunk with two children outside a restaurant.

Collier County deputies went to the restaurant at 12515 U.S. 41 East just after 8 a.m. after complaints of a loud drunken male with two kids inside the establishment.

The man, Juan Resendiz-Orozco, 48, of the 6400 block of College Park Circle, Unit 202, left with the children and went to his vehicle. Resendiz-Orozco had trouble backing up the car, say deputies, who then conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot. Deputies say they found Resendiz-Orozco and his car smelling of alcohol. When the deputies asked the two children, Resendiz-Orozco's daughters, to step out of the car, they began crying.

Deputies arrested Resendiz-Orozco and contacted the state Department of Children and Families regarding the children. Resendiz-Orozco was charged with DUI-alcohol or drugs third violation in 10 years, driving with a suspended license and DUI with a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 or higher with a person younger than 18-first offense.
