Snow White, werewolves, ninjas, witches and a number of not so scary black cats were among the decorative costumes and cute kids celebrating Halloween night on Marco Island on Monday.
The Marco police had no incidents reported. Friendly police and fire roamed the island in friendly vehicles, some giving out candy.
The usual candy hotbed was around Tommie Barfield Elementary, as usual, but treaters were also seen as far south as the Winterberry area and north in the Barfield Avenue area.
Mathias, 4 1/2 and Nils Larsen, 3 1/2 of Switzerland enjoyed trick or treating for the first time. They heard about it on the beach as they are vacationing on the island with their parents. They were tipped off to go to Tommie Barfield where annually cars from around the island are staged as children roam the friendly neighborhood.
