Naples man accused of DUI, crashing into several vehicles in McDonald's parking lot

A Naples man is accused of drinking and driving, and crashing into several cars while making a fast food run.

Victor Andrew Hansen, 66, had a tough time maneuvering through the McDonald's parking lot, at 4245 U.S. 41 North on Thursday night, according to an arrest report, and smashed into a half dozen parked vehicles.

A witness told Collier County sheriff's deputies that Hansen backed out of a parking spot and crashed into an unattended parked vehicle, causing it to turn 90 degrees. Hansen then proceeded to hit five to six other parked vehicles, according to the arrest report.

Then he went through the drive-thru and tried to order food. But because of the extensive damage to his Mercedes, he wasn't able to roll his driver's side window down to complete the order.

Deputies found Hansen in a parking space. The crashes occurred just after 7 p.m. Five hours later at the jail, Hansen's blood alcohol measured at .126.

Hansen is facing misdemeanor charges of DUI, first offense, and DUI with property damage.
