A Lehigh Acres man is accused of spitting on a deputy and threatening to "crack his skull open" after a fight outside of a local nightclub.

John Thomas Mills, 24, of the 200 block of Hightower Avenue South, was arrested Friday by Collier deputies outside of Vision Night Club, located at the 11900 block of U.S. 41 North.

According to reports, after closing time, Vision Night Club security notified deputies that a fight was in progress in the back parking lot of the club and a large crowd had gathered.

Deputies said they found Mills with no shirt on and swinging his fists at security guards. Mills was then asked by deputies to stop but he refused, according to reports.

Two security guards and deputies were eventually able to handcuff Mills and place in him the back of deputy’s patrol car, according to reports.

While Mills was being transported to the Naples Jail, a deputy reported that Mills spit on him through the bars four times. He then threatened to "crack the deputy’s skull open if he saw him on the streets," according to reports.

According to reports, Mills also said that he was going to take care of the deputy’s wife and kids for him.

Mills faces a felony charge of battery on a law enforcement officer.

I hope they throw the book at this idiot! He's very lucky the Deputy didn't put his face through the same bars he was spitting through. That's totally disgusting and to top it off the moron threatened the Deputy's wife and children! That alone should be worth a couple of years added to his sentence.
