— With a loaded agenda, Collier County commissioners on Tuesday put off a vote on a proposed 41-acre shopping center for Golden Gate Estates.

Public comments on the shopping center will resumed today 9 a.m. in the commission chambers.

The project will require a supermajority vote (four out of five commissioners). More than 40 residents, many of them against the project, have signed up to speak about it.

The shopping center would be anchored by a grocery store, which would be built first. It was overwhelmingly approved by voters in a straw, or nonbinding, ballot in November.
