The U.S. Postal Service announced Thursday major cost-saving changes that include studying whether to close mail processing centers in Pembroke Pines and Fort Lauderdale which could lead to slower delivery, layoffs and the end of a Broward postmark.
The potential closings are part of a nationwide effort to save up to $3 billion a year and study closing about 250 facilities. The Postal Service will also study consolidating operations from Fort Myers into the West Palm Beach site. The studies are expected to be finished in early 2012 with potential closures as early as February.

This is crazy. Better management is what the USPS needs.
