— Two Fort Myers men were sent to the cooler after Collier deputies said they stole an air conditioner unit from an East Naples business.

Mark Lofty, 32, of the 2200 block of Coronet Street, and William Guzman, 27, of the 2700 block of Colonial Boulevard, were arrested by Collier deputies with the assistance of Lee County Sheriff’s deputies on Corkscrew Road in Estero on Saturday. They were charged with burglary and grand theft.

According to arrest reports, an East Naples business owner reported finding a black SUV parked near his office after hours with the hatch open. The owner reported seeing a man loading parts from his air conditioner unit that was on the side of the building.

The business owner took down the tag number and called deputies, the report said.

The matching SUV and air conditioner parts were found with Lofty and Guzman at an Estero gas station, according to reports.
