Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit have released surveillance video from the Sunday morning armed robbery of a convenience store that turned deadly.
Shortly before 2 .a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to the Back Bay Market, 394 Ortiz Ave., where they discovered store clerk Muhammad Ali, 29, seriously injured from a gunshot wound. Ali later died at the hospital.
Detectives are hoping someone will recognize the two black male suspects that stormed the convenience store wearing what appear to be Spiderman and Grim Reaper masks. The men are considered armed and extremely dangerous, the Sheriff's Office reports.
