A Hialeah man is facing numerous drug charges after deputies say they found him with 13 marijuana plants and more than 200 grams of packaged marijuana on the interstate.
Reynier Dominguez-Duarte, 27, was arrested Tuesday by Collier County sheriff's deputies at mile marker 100 on Interstate 75.
While traveling west on I-75, deputies observed Dominguez-Duarte speeding and swaying in between lanes, according to an arrest report.
Deputies said as they conducted a traffic stop with Dominguez-Duarte, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the inside of his gold Dodge Intrepid.
According to reports, deputies then had Dominguez-Duarte exit his vehicle for a search. Deputies said Dominguez-Duarte was sweating profusely, breathing heavily, and his neck veins were pulsing.
Inside the vehicle's trunk, deputies located a cardboard box containing 11 small marijuana plants, a black duffle bag containing 276 grams of packaged marijuana, and a nutrient tester commonly used in marijuana grow houses, according to reports.
Dominguez-Duarte faces felony charges of manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana and possessing narcotic paraphernalia.
