Deputies: Man attacks girlfriend with ukulele over$10

An Immokalee man is accused of attacking his girlfriend with a ukulele over $10.

Noel Herrera, 27, of the 1100 block of Hickock Lane, was arrested Thursday by Collier deputies at home.

According to reports, when deputies arrived on scene they found the victim with a split upper lip and was unable to move her left arm.

Deputies said when they asked the victim what happened she advised them that her boyfriend of one year, Herrera, came home from work and asked her for $10, but she refused.

According to reports, he told her the only reason he was with her was for the money and then grabbed a small wooden ukulele and began hitting her with it.

Herrera faces a charge of domestic violence.
