Lely athletes recognized on all-star teams

Lely athletes got their share of accolades when it came time for naming the top winter sports athletes by the Naples Daily News and the Collier County Athletic Conference.

Sophomore Nick Talko and Junior Nick Ronquette led the basketball team by being named to first team for the NDN All-Area and the CCAC All-Conference. Sophomore Wes Lancaster made honorable mention for both squads.

For the girls, senior Katie Hogan made NDN and CCAC first teams, while senior Taylor Bell made honorable mention on both.

In soccer, senior Justine Giles made first team honors on both teams. For CCAC, Jennifer Carter, Jessica Andrade made first team, while Andrade and Carter were honorable mentions for All-Area.

For the boys, Ricthy Absolu, Sam Lozano and Zach Garcon made the CCAC All-Conference team, while Garcon and Lozano were honorable for the NDN team

Freshman Jennifer Carter and junior Jessica Andrade made CCAC first team and honorable mention for NDN All-Area.

In wrestling, junior Claudel Alix, at 220 pounds, made first team in both ballots. Sophomore Mickey Messina made honorable mention for CCAC.
