Naples Botanical Garden is presenting a Food Fest in the Garden with tasty treats from food trucks and a food drive for St. Matthew’s House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The garden is at 4820 Bayshore Drive, Naples. This is your chance to try the food from Dolce Gourmet Cupcakes, Miami Spice Grill, Mobile Culinary Kitchen, the Germans featuring real German food and the Nosh Truck serving street food with a twist. The Wholetones will be performing on the Water Garden stage, so bring your own chair or blanket for seating. Bring a non-perishable food item for St. Matthew’s House and receive $5 off the admission price of $12.95 for adults and $7.95 for children 4 to 14. Naples LipDub, a community lipsyncing set for 10 a.m. Sunday, will include wine connoisseur and restaurateur Sukie Honeycutt. The event will be videotaped until 1 p.m. for the Internet and will premiere at Silverspot Cinemas at the Mercato after completion. Teacher Appreciation Month
May is Teacher Appreciation Month, and Pollo Tropical is honoring teachers throughout the month with its Teachers of the Year campaign. Pollo Tropical will award 15 teachers from the 15 counties where there are Pollo Tropical restaurants with Pollo Tropical food for a year. Teachers must be nominated by students and parents, and the ones earning the most nominations will be the winner. The school where the teachers are employed will win $500. The restaurant is offering half-off prices from 3 to 6 p.m. daily and has a barbecue lunch of $5.99 for its homemade pulled pork with two sides, or substitute barbecue chicken or a hamburger.

Derby Day doings
■ Ridgway Bar & Grill will show the Kentucky Derby live on largescreen television in the Courtyard from 5 to 7 p.m. May 5 at 1300 Third St. S., Naples. The Naples Junior Woman’s Club is hosting a Derby Dash party from 5 to 7 p.m. with Derby drinks, special appetizers and sweets and prizes for best dressed, best hat and racing games and raffles. ■ Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Track will celebrate Derby Day with the Wheelin’ Dealin’ Street Food Festival from noon to 5 p.m. May 5 at 10601 Bonita Beach Road SE, Bonita Springs. The 10 gourmet food trucks will include Bite Gastro Truck, Cucina Al Mare, Dog Eat Dog, Dolcé Gourmet Cupcakes, the Germans, Miami Spice Grill, Nana Nina’s, the Nosh Truck, Palate Party and Zombie Ice. The track will open at 10 a.m. and the grandstand barbecue will open at noon.
