North Naples woman accused of kicking deputy in the chest

A 44-year-old North Naples woman is accused of kicking and yelling obscenities at a Collier County deputy during a disturbance call.

The family of Alycia Linden said she was throwing her daughter's clothing into the pool and damaging a car's paint, mirror and hood Friday at a home on the 7200 block of Mill Run Circle. As deputies tried to put Linden in handcuffs, Linden pulled away and kicked one of them in the chest, according to an arrest report.

Linden cursed at the deputies and began to wrestle with them, the report said. Deputies used pepper spray to subdue Linden, then handcuffed her.

Linden faces felony charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence.
