A Marco Island man who was previously deported but came back into the country was accused Wednesday of sexually assaulting a girl younger than 12.

Heber Fernandez Sanchez, 29, who also goes by the name Jorge Moreno, was arrested and taken to the Naples Jail Center, where he faces a charge of sexual battery. Sanchez's exact address on Marco Island was redacted from reports.

According to an arrest report, Sanchez is accused of molesting the girl on several occasions. The girl told Marco Island detectives he threatened to kill her if she told anyone.

Sanchez, who is from Mexico, told detectives he was deported a year or two ago but came back to the United States after fraudulently obtaining a green card and a Social Security card for $150 under the name of Jorge Moreno.

He denied doing anything inappropriate with the girl but said she might "get things in her head from watching TV" or from watching him have intercourse with an another person, a report said.
